SOMETHING ENGAGING EVERY WEEK. GUEST AUTHORS, MUSICIANS & ARTISTS. STORIES. 4Q INTERVIEWS. ITEMS OF SIGNIFICANCE. allan hudson
I remember when I was a boy and I couldn't get enough of The Hardy Boys. I must have read close to all of them. They author noted on the front of all the books say they were written by Franklin W. Dixon. It was later in life that I learned that that name was a pseudonym for many ghost writers. the characters were created by Edward Srtatemeyer in 1927. All books written prior to 1959 were extensively re-written to rid the stories of stereotypes.
I've been reading about blogging when I have time. There are hundreds of blogs online, dozens of subjects. The ones I read are mostly about writing, authors and books. There are so many that tell you the "right" way to blog. How can they know what that is? When I created this blog, I set out to create a vehicle that would feature my stories and the work of fellow authors. I don't feel it is right or wrong. This is my blog. I'm having fun. If I can help an author have one more reader, sell one more book, then my bog works. I have been fortunate to have my ideas and work shared by others and am very thankful. Susan Toy, Chris Graham and Linze Brandon have featured me on their sites and are examples of folks going out of their way to help. Hats off to them. Another fellow author that goes out of his way to help is Lockard Young, he shares and cares, a tremendous supporter of not just my work but many others he is friends with, he's a terrific author and a terrific friend. What gets me is that there are so many authors I share their posts and work with and they never share back. How come?
