The Shattered Series - 1210
So, what else happened, you ask?
I published two novels this year. The first is a compilation of the 4 Shattered stories featuring Detective Josephine (Jo) Naylor.
The novellas were joined into one novel with 4 parts covering the original series.
Shattered Figurine
(24 ratings. 14 reviews)
Shattered Lives
Shattered Dreams.
Shattered - The Final Act.
Detective Josephine (Jo) Naylor receives an email telling her where to find the next body.
The messenger tells her “… only you can stop this madness…” Discovering a shattered
figurine on the corpse, she’s overwhelmed by the possibility it might be the one she sold in
a yard sale. If so, she knows who the killer could be. She prays she is wrong.
In pursuing the criminal, she uncovers her worse nightmare.
Now she’s on the run. Thailand. Paris. New Zealand.
Will she ever be able to return home?
I sent Warrant Officer Stefan Kravchenko of the Royal Air Force Service Police on another caper.
1942
Camp Debert is an army base being built next door to Royal Canadian Air Force Base in Debert, Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada in 1942. Thousands of thousands of men and women will pass through on their way to Europe. Units will be mustered, weapons handed out and training for war. The contractors are erecting buildings as fast as they can.
The new mess on the army base is partially completed until work stops when the foreman finds a dead body hanging from the rafters. Not a soldier, but an airman.
Everything is hush-hush. The commanding officer has asked for the investigation to be handled by Warrant Officer Stefan Kravchenko of the Air Force Service Police. He’s ordered to Camp Debert, immediately. Upon arrival he discovers the scene is all wrong. The medical examiner suggests it may look like a suicide, but …
I had the good fortune to join nine other authors contributing to the premier issue of the Elemental Series.
Earth, An Anthology, is the first in a compelling four part series that celebrates our
planet in a smorgasbord of unforgettable short stories.
Ten best-selling and award-winning authors who call the North Atlantic home, share
their vivid imaginations in these tales of intrigue and adventure. From potato farm
mayhem; investigating mysterious jagged trenches; a voice from the past, a grim
discovery, and a quest for a lost sword, to life lessons; a jagged trenches;
seductive sparkle and fire; questioning the balance between good and bad; and
someone – or something – that threatens the existence of Warden McCabe — Earth,
An Anthology, is a treasure trove of pure entertainment.
So tuck into your favourite armchair and experience our world as never before.
I'm hard at work on The Alexanders. Vol. 3 1926 -1930.
I appreciate all the many requests for the next in the series.
Dominic Alexander will make many friends over the years, reach out to offer a helping hand to those in need, and butt heads with a few adversaries.
He'll experience extreme joy and deep sorrow.
He'll cherish his loving wife, Maria.
Admire and support her rambunctious spirit.
The two of them will have a surprise waiting for you.
Tentative publication is Fall, 2026.
Also in the works is an adaptation of my short story - A Honey Trap.
The story originally appeared in my short story collection,
Bella Maggs is no ordinary heroine. This lady does not back down.
Her start in life was not the most pleasant.
Shamed into obscurity, she vowed to change her life.
She would never have foreseen her tumultuous future as one of Canada's Security Intelligence Service's deepest agents.
Following leads for the man who kidnapped the Prime Minister's son, she gets caught up into a pit of pain.
Rescued by Canadian Special Ops, the notorious Rudolph Hoch, escapes and is still at large.
The damage has been done and Bella Maggs loses her right arm.
The only person who want's Hoch in jail for his crimes more than her is the Prime Minister.
The Minster of Defence has been instructed to hunt this criminal down and ...
He want's Bella Maggs on the hunt.
Tentative publication, Spring 2027.
